Red Mountain Park and a movie night in the park.

The long weekend was really nice although Alex was sick for the most part of it. Damn ACs... you can't live without them but living with them is no fun either....
Anyway, we still managed to do some fun things!

The community in which we live, offers several movie nights during the summer and I took Sophie for the first time this weekend. They were showing Frozen and her friend Lukas and his parents joined us. She was EXCITED! There were sooo many kids and the weather was perfect. The best thing, however, is that the location is only a 3-minute walk from our house. When we came home she exclaimed really proudly: "Daddy, I watched a movie!!!"(well, the truth is she watched about twenty minutes of a movie because it got really late and we had to head home, but that did not spoil the experience for her :) Oh, and did I mention they also serve free popcorn? So cool!

We also went to Red Mountain Park on Sunday, which is only about a 10-minute drive from our house. No clue why we haven't explored it earlier, but it is really nice and since everything is shaded, it was also bearable temperature wise. We hiked a little bit but definitely have to come back to explore it more!
